Hey folks! Welcome to Week 5 of my triathlon training series! (January 29, 2024 to February 4, 2024)
I am officially 25 weeks (and a few days) out from my the Spudman Triathlon scheduled on July 27, 2024!
I already did my weekly weigh-in and workout plan, and now I am ready to get started with training!
Week 5 – Weight = 217.8 Pounds
Workout #1 – Run for 10 Minutes
I ran for a little over 11 minutes and almost ran a full mile! My calves and my ankles felt really, really tight but I made it through!
Workout #2 – 450 Meter Swim
I brought out a little kid kickboard and focused really hard on my kicking and my breathing.
Workout #3 – Bike for 40 Minutes
I did the bike ride inside and kept it really slow and steady.
This week was a rest and recovery week and I think it went really well! I allowed my body time to get back to center and I am ready to charge into next week’s training.
